Overview:

The system is using cyanide solution to striping gold plating layer. Then the washing solution transports to the diaphragm electrowinning cell. In the cell, the Au ion can be reduced to Au powder to be collected., and the cyanide solution can be regenerated, so that the system is closed and friendly to environment.

the washing reaction can be writen as below:

4Au+8NaCN+2H2O+O2→4NaAuCN2+4NaOH

Anode:       AuCN2-+e-→Au+2CN-

Cathode:   4OH--4e-→O2+2H2O
